New members welcome pizza & movie lunch!

In our over-excitement of meeting our new fellow HFH-ers, we're throwing a fun-filled welcome lunch for all our members and potential members (yes, that means your friends that aren't already part of this awesome club!). Not only is there free pizza (score!), there's even a playing of the movie 'Silver Lining Playbook' (which is a comedy-drama and has Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. Need I say more?). This is a great opportunity for y'all new-lings to know more about our club, to meet the other faces of the club, and there is also sign ups for the 3rd build trip if you have missed the previous sign up. Remember to grab your friends along for this awesome lunch that isn't your oh-so-typical barbie, cos non-members are welcomed too.

Here's some of quick news!

1. The first two building trips (which are on Week 1 and 3 respectively) have been fully booked. The third trip which is happening on Week 10 (May 18th to be exact). Spots available are running out fast, so don't think twice and quickly sign up for it already!

2. All the old members have to renew their membership, otherwise we wouldn't be able to accommodate you for the upcoming build trips :(

3. Lastly, new membership sign ups, build trip sign ups and membership renewal will be available at our upcoming welcome pizza and movie lunch!

Hello O Week 2013 & HELLO NEW MEMBERS!

Hellloooooooo brothers and sisters of Habitat for Humanity! Hope everything has been swell for you in 2013, because it has been pretty awesome for us all so far! This week, as all of you know, is O Week, and what do you smell? MMM FRESH MEAT. And fresh meat, we did get (not literally eating of freshers duh)! So here's a warm welcome to our new brothers and sisters that signed up at our booth *insert standing ovation* and all of us can't wait to meet you :3

We would like to apologise for our lack of updates recently, because it's been hectic so far and we've got quite a bit of planning going on as we're always striving to do more for our community. But in order for us to do that, we'll need lots of hands on board! It would be AMAZING, if you guys could help spread the word about us and grab as many of your friends as possible in having an awesome time contributing to the community.

O-Week: Clubs and Societies Day

Uni students have the opportunity to enrich their Uni experience by being active in various clubs and societies. The first step of course, requires joining them!

During O-week, HFH of Melbourne University offered students the chance to sign up and participate in our future activities to assist communities in need.

We successfully recruited a few volunteers, whom we're sure are very excited about what we have in store--we are too!
