Melbourne University Night Market

For the first time, the Habitat for Humanity club participated in the Melbourne University Night market organized by Melbourne University Overseas Students' Services clubb(MUOSS) on the 25th of March from 6.00-10.00pm.

It was a long long day. In the afternoon, two members used the Union House Kitchen to prepare the food for the market later in the day. It was definitely a challenge for them as only the two of them were allowed in to the kitchen and they were only given a duration of 2 hours to finish the cooking!

At the night market we set up a stall to sell the famous Italian dish, spaghetti aglio olio and a malaysian dish, fried bee hoon. We also prepared a fresh quenching homemade longan drink to go with it.

A few members came earlier to set up the stall, put up banners, and to make sure that everything was in top shape.

We managed to get an overwhelming response from the customers. Throughout the night customers kept on coming. They complimented our food and drinks .

By the end of the night we managed to successfully sell all of the food. It was a long tiring day but we were all satisfied with the outcome!
Cheers,
